The breakfast was delicious and satisfactory exactly as I hoped, with an amazing view and fresh fruit, for instance. Right at a bus stop, the location was incredible and good, on the magical island of Madeira.

The staff was extremely helpful and attentive - I would come there again. Everything was lovely, lovely location next to apart from other hotels, a bus stop and public transport or the hotel's own free shuttle service, thoroughly enjoyable experience. My room was a nice size and brand-new and featured fantastic view over the bay. Good and fab cereal and eggs, enjoyed this place.

our recent stay in funchal was made even more memorable by the stunning views and excellent staff at ocean gardens. the hotel was beautiful, very clean, and the breakfast buffet was impressive. the convenient bus service made it easy to explore the island. we wished we could have stayed longer!

The hotel is conveniently located on a hillside, providing stunning views of the town and the Atlantic. It is easily accessible with local transport options available. the restaurant is spacious and offers a wide selection of dishes. the staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

One downside is that there is ongoing construction work in the hotel, which may cause some noise disturbances.

The Breakfast could have been better, eggs were cooked and left out for far too long.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The views of Funchal and the ocean were absolutely breathtaking. The food at the restaurant was delicious, especially the bolo do caco and the pizzas. The bar on the rooftop was a great spot to relax and enjoy a refreshing sangria. The amenities, including the pool and sauna, were top-notch. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. I also appreciated the convenience of the hotel's bus tours to and from Funchal. I highly recommend this hotel for its panoramic views, delicious food, and friendly staff.

The view was amazing, the hotel was very well furnished, and extremely well maintained, the staff were so friendly and obliging, this is our second time there and we would recommend it to anyone.

A suggestion to the hotel would be to install a good powered telescope or have some good powered binoculars, to take in the view and also for any marine life that is at sea. My husband went on a whale watching trip and saw lots of pilot whales, which would be visible from the hotel if a telescope or binoculars were available.

I liked this hotel very much. The room was very nice and had a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. I booked 6 hotels on Madeira on Booked.net for my fortnight there and this hotel had the most comfortable bed! The receptionist on arrival was particularly friendly. The hotel was very well connected to central Funchal by local buses. I would not hesitate to return to Ocean Gardens.

The hotel had great facilities, including a rooftop swimming pool and bar with reasonable prices. the rooms were spacious and clean, and the breakfast was varied. the view of the ocean and city lights was breathtaking, and the hotel was conveniently located next to a bus stop for easy exploration of the area.

The food was not up to par, with limited options for half board guests and bland, cheap taste. there was a lot of traffic noise from the nearby road, which made it difficult to enjoy the stunning view from the terrace.

The staff were incredibly nice. The location in Funchal was good, just off Madeira where all people are so friendly. All the tourist places in Funchal and public transport or the hotel's free shuttle service were great.
